Sharon Schmidt
Retired NIH and FDA
Minnesota
I worked as a researcher at NIH and later at the FDA as a project manager for the drug approval process.
Since I moved back to MN, I have spent many hours setting up talks in different parts of Minnesota to teach people about single-payer health care and the MN Health Care Bill. Later, I worked many hours for the Health Policy Advocates group. This group is made up of people from many political and religious backgrounds. We have manage to get 83 Senators and Representatives in the MN legislature to sign on to a petition to get the HMOs in MN audited for the spending of our tax money for our most vulnerable Minnesotans on Medicaid. This audit would be done done regulations for an appropriate audit.
