I am a retired critical care and home health RN and mediator from Spokane, WA.

It covers the history of Medicare, Medicare Advantage, and managed care, and explains why single-payer is the essential foundation for an equitable healthcare system. I've been very involved in promoting Washington's state-based single-payer universal health care bill and have followed every meeting of Washington's Universal Health Care Work Group and Commission, commenting frequently and writing suggested policy papers.
